A 35-year-old man was arrested in connection with an August fire that destroyed a Somerville house and damaged nearby buildings, police announced Thursday. John Grasso, who is currently unhoused, was arrested for Wanton destruction of property and breaking and entering a building in the nighttime, the Somerville Police Department said. The Somerville Police and Fire Departments and Massachusetts State Fire Marshal arrested Grasso in a joint effort, police said.
I used, at the White House, the most beautiful marble and stone available anywhere. Surfaces are very important to me as a Builder. As everyone knows, I built many GREAT Buildings, and other things, over the years. [Ed. Note: Name three, and none of the ones you slapped your name on count.] At the White House, I am very proud of the beautiful stonework we did in the Rose Garden, in this case, using limestone plus.
I literally spent my entire life savings on this house. So basically, a very nice old woman ploughed into the front of my house tonight. Smashed the wall, the wall flew across the street, smashed into my car, smashed into the house, has done unbelievable damage.
