According to a bystander who saw the aftermath firsthand, the incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. on Saturday. The eyewitness told the Advance/SILive.com that the SUV was in one of the curbside pickup parking spots on the Hylan Boulevard side of the restaurant."
"The vehicle struck the exterior of the structure, causing visible damage to the brickwork and an exterior doorway. The SUV sustained damage to the front driver's side fender. The woman driving the vehicle did not appear to be injured after the crash, the eyewitness said, although she was visibly upset. A spokesperson from the FDNY said that the department did not receive any calls for the address of the store on Saturday."
"According to the eyewitness, an employee of the store said that only refrigerators were behind the damaged door. On Sunday, an employee of the McDonald's, who asked to remain anonymous, stated that no employees were injured in the crash and the store remained open afterward.
