Two men fire gun toward U.S. Consulate in Toronto, police say
"There, two men emerged from the vehicle, discharged multiple rounds of a firearm, probably a handgun, at the front of the building, then got back into the vehicle and drove southbound, Police Service Deputy Chief Frank Barredo said at a news conference."
"At the site, they found evidence of shell casings and damage to the building, including to glass and the consulate's door, police said. There were people inside the building at no time, but nobody was injured as the consulate was 'highly secured' and 'highly fortified.'"
Two individuals discharged multiple rounds from a firearm at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto early in the morning. Witness evidence identified a white Honda CR-V that stopped in front of the building, from which two men emerged, fired at the consulate's front, and then fled southbound. Police discovered shell casings and damage to the building's glass and door. Although people were present inside the consulate, no injuries occurred due to the building's high security and fortification. The incident was reported at 5:29 a.m., though shots may have been fired up to an hour earlier. Police released an image of the suspect vehicle.
