ANTIOCH A 21-year-old man was stabbed multiple times Sunday night at a motel, authorities said. The man, who is not an Antioch resident, was in critical condition at a hospital, police said.. The city had approached DJ Hospitality, LLC, the owner of the now-closed Comfort Inn on Mahogany Way, to secure up to 250 emergency room vouchers for no more than $20,000 for those seeking comfort from freezing temperatures. The vouchers were to be used on an as-needed basis over the next six months. Any unused vouchers would have been refunded to the city at $80 per voucher, a staff report noted.
An 11-year-old girl is in stable condition after being hit in the head by a stray bullet Monday in Antioch, police said. The shooting happened shortly before 12:40 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 3915 Delta Fair Blvd., Antioch police Lt. Gary Lowther said in a news release. At the time, the victim was riding in her family's vehicle as it exited the parking lot.
ANTIOCH - A man suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol collided with an Antioch police car early Friday, sending a sergeant to the hospital, police said. The driver also was hospitalized in the crash that happened just before 2 a.m. at the intersection of A Street and W. 10th Street. Both the police sergeant and the suspect have been released and are expected to recover.

Officers were dispatched to Lone Tree Way and West Tregallas Road around 2:45 a.m. for reports of a person down in the roadway, Antioch police Lt. William Whitaker said in a news release. They arrived to find a person "who appeared to have been involved in a physical altercation," Whitaker said. The victim received aid at the scene and was taken to an area hospital, Whitaker said.

ANTIOCH - Authorities on Wednesday announced an arrest in an injury shooting earlier this month in Antioch. Silvio Roberto Belini Jr., 47, of Brentwood, was taken into custody at an undisclosed address in Brentwood, according to Antioch police Lt. Bill Whitaker. Detectives also served a search warrant and collected evidence related to the shooting. Whitaker did not release any additional information about the case, which he said remains under investigation.
ANTIOCH Police on Tuesday arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting over the weekend in Antioch. The suspect, identified as 37-year-old Vallejo resident Jesus Soto, was taken into custody in Stockton, Antioch police Lt. William Whitaker said in a news release. The arrest came a day after authorities served a search warrant at a home in Vallejo. Evidence related to the fatal shooting was collected from the home and a vehicle, Whitaker said.

According to an Antioch Police Department news release, the victim is a 21-year-old man whom officers did not identify. Police said they responded to a reported shooting about 4 p.m. Thursday in the 2000 block of Crater Peak Way and found the man who'd been shot at least once in the arm.
