Three men were hit by bullets, including a 30-year-old victim who'd been shot in the head, and a fourth man was stabbed in the armpit during three separate nightclub attacks in Brooklyn and the Bronx within three hours early Saturday, police said. The bloodshed began at around 1:45 a.m. when a fight broke out inside Tulum Brooklyn, a late-night restaurant and lounge on Broadway near Hart St. in Bedford Stuyvesant.
Agustin Calderon, 43, pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and a gun enhancement in the Dec. 16, 2023 fatal shooting of 29-year-old Eric Azevedo, in Antioch. Calderon was formally sentenced in October and is housed at Pleasant Valley State Prison, records show. Prosecutors dropped a murder count as part of the plea deal, records show.
SAN BRUNO - A shooting and fire are under investigation in San Bruno, police said. The incident was reported just after 3:30 p.m. Friday at a two-story home in the 100 block of Keefe Court, a cul-de-sac located off Rosewood Drive, according to the San Bruno Police Department. Additional details about the incident were not immediately available. In an update around 5:15 p.m., police said the scene was still active and asked the public to avoid the area. ANTIOCH - A 43-year-old Oakley man suspected in a shooting that injured a woman on Friday night was arrested in Marin County, police said. The woman survived the gunfire after going on her own to a hospital and being treated for her injuries, according to a statement from Antioch police Lt. Michael Mellone. He said officers responded after a gunfire detection system sent out alerts about 8:40 p.m. of multiple gunshots in the 2300 block of Buchanan Road.
Two men reportedly fired shots at an elite police unit during a car chase in southern Germany Tuesday evening, causing a road accident in which five people were lightly injured. Officers from the Spezialeinsatzkommando (special deployment unit, or SEK) had attempted to arrest three men, aged 23, 24 and 30, in the small town of Absberg near the city of Nuremberg on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons.
On Saturday (24 January), officers were called reports of a "disturbance" on Richmond Street at 5am. Police found the victim at a property on the street alongside a gun. As per The Tab, police were also seen searching an abandoned Mercedes G-Wagon on Princess Street, a two-minute walk from the crime scene.

A 23-year-old man has been charged with attempting to murder an 11-year-old girl who survived being shot in the head while riding around town with her family, police announced Thursday. Ryan Hardy, of Antioch, was charged with five counts of attempted murder and assault with a firearm for allegedly shooting the girl in the early afternoon of Jan. 5, as she rode in a car on the 3900 block of Delta Fair Boulevard, police said.
Los Angeles police are searching for two suspects who they say opened fire on a line of people outside a Manchester Square restaurant on Sunday evening, leaving one man dead and four wounded. Four of the victims were rushed via ambulance to a nearby hospital, where one - a 36-year-old man whose name hasn't been released - was pronounced dead, according to an internal Los Angeles Police Department bulletin.

Just before 3 p.m. Tuesday, the FBI's National Threat Operation Center contacted the Dalton Police Department about a man who called the center and made claims that "sparked mental health concerns," according to the Berkshire District Attorney's Office. The man reportedly told the NTOC that he was paranoid that law enforcement were listening to his phone calls, alleged that he and his family were attacked by organized crime groups, and expressed fears about a "machine" in his basement.
SUNNYVALE An investigation is underway into the shooting death of a woman Wednesday night in Sunnyvale, authorities said. The shooting happened around 9:40 p.m. in the 1200 block of Vienna Drive, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety said in a news release. Officers arrived to find the woman inside a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Ryan Hardy, 23, should be considered armed and dangerous, Antioch police Lt. William Whitaker said in a news release. Members of the public are advised not to confront him, Whitaker said. Anyone who sees Hardy in public or has information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately. Detectives identified Hardy as a suspect through a combination of video surveillance, witness statements and forensic evidence.
York police are investigating after a home in Richmond Hill was the target of a shooting for the second time in three months. Just before 5 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to reports of gunshots on Bryson Drive, in the area of Carville Road and Bathurst Street, York police said in a news release. They found a vehicle parked in a driveway that was damaged by gunshots.
OAKLAND - A 42-year-old woman was shot Sunday night while she was sitting in her parked car in West Oakland, authorities said. The woman was in stable condition Monday at a hospital where she was being treated for a wound to her lower leg, authorities said. The shooting happened about 8:39 p.m. Sunday in the 1700 block of Goss Street. The woman, who lives nearby, told police she was sitting in her car when she heard gunfire and realized she had been wounded.
