According to the NYPD, responding officers found a 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left leg at around 12:30 a.m. He was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover. Police say there are no arrests or suspect descriptions at this time.

Shots rang out on the busy shopping street near 445 Albee Square shortly after 2 p.m, police said. The victim, a 30-year-old woman, was struck in the lower leg in the chaos. When officers arrived on the scene, the woman was conscious and alert, per the NYPD.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the motive is believed to be a dispute between the suspect and the victim over a mutual female acquaintance. Detectives are continuing this investigation to gain more insight, as well as to collect and analyze evidence.

Police are looking for two men in connection with a shooting on Boston Road in the Morrisania section of the Bronx on Monday evening. Authorities said the incident occurred in front of 1272 Boston Road at about 5:05 p.m., when one individual handed a firearm to another, who then fired multiple shots, striking an unoccupied vehicle. The two men fled north on Boston Road. No injuries were reported.

Tragedy occurred today in East New York, Brooklyn, when two 24-year-old men were shot inside a home on Euclid Avenue shortly after midnight. One man, identified by police as Jarell Sutton, was shot in the chest and later pronounced dead at the hospital. The second man sustained a foot injury. No arrests have been reported at this time, according to ABC7NY.

Law enforcement sources said the victim, a 37-year-old man, was beside his truck by the pumps when the two male suspects approached and engaged him in an altercation. During the incident, police reported, one of the perpetrators pulled out a gun and opened fire, striking the victim in the leg, then snatched a gold chain from his neck. Calderon was formally sentenced in October and is housed at Pleasant Valley State Prison, records show. Prosecutors dropped a murder count as part of the plea deal, records show.

SAN BRUNO - A shooting and fire are under investigation in San Bruno, police said. The incident was reported just after 3:30 p.m. Friday at a two-story home in the 100 block of Keefe Court, a cul-de-sac located off Rosewood Drive, according to the San Bruno Police Department. Additional details about the incident were not immediately available. In an update around 5:15 p.m., police said the scene was still active and asked the public to avoid the area. Two men reportedly fired shots at an elite police unit during a car chase in southern Germany Tuesday evening, causing a road accident in which five people were lightly injured. Officers from the Spezialeinsatzkommando (special deployment unit, or SEK) had attempted to arrest three men, aged 23, 24 and 30, in the small town of Absberg near the city of Nuremberg on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons.

One person was shot and in critical condition Tuesday in a shooting involving the Border Patrol near the U.S.- Mexico border, authorities in Arizona said. The Pima County Sheriff's Department said it was working with the FBI and U.S. Customs and Border Protection in response to the shooting in Arivaca, Arizona, a community about 10 miles from the border. U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the FBI did not immediately respond to emails and telephone calls seeking more information.
