A 45-year-old man was shot in east London, prompting a murder investigation. Police responded to reports of gunfire on Dynevor Road in Stoke Newington. Despite medical efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is receiving support from specialist officers. The area around Stoke Newington High Street is currently closed. Authorities believe the shooting is an isolated incident, posing no risk to the wider community. Detective Chief Superintendent Brittany Clarke said, "We understand this incident will cause concern within the Stoke Newington community, however we do believe this to be an isolated incident at this stage of the investigation with no wider risk to the general public."
A London Ambulance Service spokesman stated, "We sent resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic, a paramedic from our tactical response unit and an incident response officer."
