Gunfire occurred about 11:45 p.m. in the area of Cobblestone Drive and Flagstone Drive in Antioch. Lt. William Whitaker said officers found a 27-year-old man down and suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Officers treated the man at the scene, but he died there. Police opened a homicide investigation, the fourth homicide by Antioch police in 2025, and ruled one of the previous three homicides justifiable. Authorities did not identify the victim pending notification of relatives and citing the investigation. Police asked anyone with information to contact Det.
