The universally beloved Moldavian DJ Andrei Rață, aka Andrew Rayel aka Rayel, has had a passion for trance music for two decades. Growing up in Eastern Europe, Rayel would listen to Armin [van Buuren], ATB and Tiesto, sending the young teen into ASMR heaven. Attending music school, Rayel began composing melodies that have caused millions of mostly young people to sway at international festivals like the Electric Daisy Carnival in Tokyo.

An apartment complex in Sunnyvale was bought for more than $140 million in a deal that points to ongoing weakness in the region's multifamily real estate sector. Essex Property Trust purchased the 200-unit apartment hub at 1250 Lakeside Dr. for $143.5 million, according to documents filed on Nov. 25 with the Santa Clara County Recorder's Office. San Mateo-based Essex Property is one of the nation's largest real estate investment trusts. Commercial real estate firm Colliers handled the transaction.

SUNNYVALE An investigation into an attempted homicide earlier this summer at a park in Sunnyvale ended in the arrest of two men Wednesday, according to authorities. Officers were called to the intersection of Manzano and Oak Creek ways around 9:45 p.m. on July 4 for a report of a shooting and stabbing, said Capt. Dzanh Le of the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety.

The Sunnyvale Art Club is holding a juried art show Aug. 16-17 at the Sunnyvale Public Library, featuring 90 works of art.
