Starbucks competitor Dutch Bros saw its stock price rise in premarket trading on Friday after the coffee chain posted double-digit revenue growth in its most recent quarter. However, shares were flat as of late morning, with the stock (NYSE: BROS) hovering at just over $50 a share. Long-term coffee drinking may be associated with a lower risk of developing dementia and more favorable cognitive health outcomes, according to a long-running analysis involving more than 130,000 people. The study, published online Feb. 9 in JAMA, found that among both men and women, people in the highest quartile of caffeinated coffee consumption (2-3 cups per day or more) had an 18% lower risk of dementia compared with those who reported little or no caffeinated coffee consumption.
