DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran will executive produce, with Pete Jackson (not the Lord of the Rings filmmaker) directing. V for Vendetta started as a graphic novel written by Alan Moore and illustrated by David Lloyd. Set in a dystopian UK ruled by fascists, it was adapted into a 2005 Warner Bros. film directed by James McTeigue. The movie starred Hugo Weaving as anarchist revolutionary V and Natalie Portman as Evey Hammond.
It's only the first episode, and there's a heap of pressure on it, but this is an iffy start to the TV take on the beloved book series We must start by saying that it is unfair to review a television series on the basis of its first episode. But we must also make it clear that RTÉ is releasing The Walsh Sisters one precious episode at a time, drop by drop, like a serialised novel by Charles Dickens in the nineteenth century.
During a recent interview with GameSpot, Keller was asked about the potential of a large-scale Overwatch story along the lines of Netflix's Castlevania and Arcane adaptations. "The team would love to have something like that come out," said Keller. "You know, we're also fans of those shows and fans of those universes. To have something like that for Overwatch would be really, really cool. But I can't really discuss the plans for future stuff like that."
