Amazon is reportedly adding Teresa Palmer ( The Fall Guy, Warm Bodies, Hacksaw Ridge) to its pantheon of Norse gods for its God of War TV show adaptation. As first reported by , Palmer will play Sif, Thor's wife and eventual leader of the Aesir, in the live-action adaptation. It may not carry as much weight as the casting of the video game's protagonist that was revealed earlier this week to be Ryan Hurst, but it could hint at the direction the TV show may take.

These days, movies and television shows based on video games are all the rage. But God of War on Prime Video will take "rage" quite literally. A new live-action series based on the PlayStation franchise God of War is coming soon to Prime Video. Not only is the show in development from acclaimed TV auteur Ronald D. Moore (responsible for hits like Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, and For All Mankind), it will star Ryan Hurst in the lead role of Kratos.

PlayStation is releasing a limited-edition God of War-themed DualSense Controller next month. Revealed during the latest State of Play, the God of War 20th Anniversary DualSense Controller is inspired by Kratos' omega tattoo. PlayStation has decided to continue its annual tradition of hosting a State of Play, this time on September 24. The PlayStation blog has the official deets, stating that we'll be getting "more than 35 minutes reveals and news" from PlayStation Studios and other teams. The headlining act is an extended look at Housemarque's game , the follow-up to Returnal. Said look will apparently include "nearly 5 minutes" of gameplay captured on PS5.

In the latest episode of the Insider Gaming podcast, reliable knower of things Tom Henderson talks briefly about the rumoured metroidvania style God of War spinoff, which may well be getting revealed at the State of Play that is suppoed to occur in the coming weeks. You know, the one where Wolverine is supposed to show up. He then mentions that the next mainline game in the series will have similar themes, perhaps an indication that the spin-off may help setup in main game.
