Far Cry TV Series Will Be An "Anthology"
"Following some leaks, the existence of a TV show based on Ubisoft's Far Cry games has been officially confirmed. FX ordered up the project, which will stream on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally. Ubisoft's official tweet revealed that the new series will an anthology, following the templates of the games with each season offering up a new setting and cast."
""What I love about the Far Cry game franchise is it's an anthology. Each game is a variation of a theme, the same way each season of Fargo is a variation on a theme," said Hawley. "To create a big action show that can change from year to year, while always exploring the nature of humanity through this complex and chaotic lens is a dream come true.""
FX and Ubisoft confirmed a Far Cry television adaptation that will stream on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally. The series will be an anthology, with each season presenting a new setting and cast modeled on the games' templates. The project is led by FX producers Rob Mac and Noah Hawley, and Rob Mac will also apparently be starring. FX leadership expressed excitement about the partnership. Hawley emphasized the franchise's anthology nature and the aim to explore the nature of humanity through a complex, chaotic lens. No release date has been announced and the adaptation approach remains uncertain.
