Poison The Well and Converge both helped define '90s and 2000s metalcore, they both have anticipated new albums coming out this year, and now they announced a tour together for this spring. Support at the East Coast/Midwest dates comes from West Coast hardcore punks Spy and Connecticut death-y metalcore crew Balmora, and the West Coast dates are with punk antagonists The Armed and the AWOLNATION-related Barbarians of California.
It wouldn't be a season of A.V. Undercover without an appearance from GWAR, especially when the lineup consists of returning acts, including , Chelsea Studios NYC late last year, it was to join the ranks of Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club," and transform "the song's glitter-drenched celebration of identity and self-expression into a full-scale alien-metal spectacle." Mission accomplished: Rhett Miller , and The Wood Brothers . The only real question was which song the intergalactic rockers (by way of Richmond, Virginia) would choose from .
Ringing in the news is his new single " Traffic Lights," which was co-written with Thom Yorke and Josh Johnson, and gets an animated video by Nespy5euro. Check it out below. "Something about it reminded me of Atoms for Peace, so I sent it to Thom," Flea said in a statement, adding that the Radiohead frontman is "just the warmest, free flowing, jamming motherfucker."
"We made this record in eight to ten days," said singer Chris Robinson. "Bringing the high and inspiration from Happiness Bastards into this album, it was a natural progression. We experimented more, we wrote on instinct and how we were feeling in the moment. Rich brought a spontaneity to the record that I can't describe, but it's the best shit he's ever done."
feel welcome to the party, I don't want racists around, and I don't want sexist people around, and I don't want people there who think that trans people are a burden. I think that's a hard line for me now. I hope it naturally happens that people who do harbour those harmful ideologies aren't going to feel welcome, because they're going to walk in the door and realise that the gang's all here, all banded together around something positive,
"As I return to the stage and reflect on the release of Bella Donna, my very first solo album, I'm reminded of the courage it took to step into the unknown and discover my voice as a solo artist. My Stevie Nicks Bella Donna Barbie is more than a doll - she symbolizes my musical journey, and the strength that comes from staying true to yourself. My hope is that she inspires fans, and especially young dreamers, to take that leap of faith and believe in their limitless potential."
New York hardcore veterans Agnostic Front have joined forces with Run-DMC legend Darryl "DMC" McDaniels on a new song titled "Matter of Life & Death." The track is the latest single from Agnostic Front's upcoming album, Echoes in Eternity, set for release on November 7th. The song features the band's longtime vocalist Roger Miret trading verses with the hip-hop icon over a heavy guitar riff from founding member Vinnie Stigma.
"It's kind of the oldest song from the album process. It's kind of one of the ones I started first," Parker told Zane Lowe of "Dracula" on Apple Music 1. "That's, like, an example of one of the ones that started in this really raw, minimal way, and then just sort of, like, slowly expanded into this sort of, like, pop."
Sarah McLachlan's singing voice is one of the wonders of the pop music world. It has alternately belted out and whispered hit songs ("Adia," "Building a Mystery") as well as the most devastating Disney song of all time (Randy Newman's "When She Loved Me" from "Toy Story 2") and is a pristine musical instrument. It can elegantly vault octaves, scoop notes without a croaky glottal fry and crack words into multi-note, velvety yodels. It can be breathy and ethereal or a searing flamethrower - and she transforms into an angelic chorus of one when she tracks layers of her own harmonies.
With each subsequent tour, PUP and Jeff Rosenstock's respective scopes continue to grow. Between well-received albums and increasingly dedicated fanbases, both acts have been able to fill bigger venues just about every time they embark on a new run (and deservingly so, might we add). Fortunately, they've also managed to successfully scale their high-energy stage show with each jump, retaining a sense of intimacy even as the crowds grow more expansive.
The tour kicks off November 13 in Portland, Oregon, and will snake its way through major U.S. cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, and New York before concluding in Miami Beach on December 15.
Gene Hoglan expressed excitement for the upcoming tour, stating, 'Thirty years of Symbolic and 35 years of Spiritual Healing! Two vastly different yet very important eras of Death. Both albums are going to be a blast to represent.'
During the extended encore section, My Chemical Romance performed a cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' 'Bullet with Butterfly Wings' in San Francisco, captivating fans with a thrilling rendition.
