I Promised the World announce tour, including dates with Skycamefalling, End It & more
"I Promised the World (fka Sinema) have been stirring up a lot of chatter ever since signing to Rise and releasing their new single "Bliss In 7 Languages," which-between the song itself, the upcoming EP artwork, and the band's fashion sense-has the sound and aesthetic of early 2000s post-hardcore/metalcore bands like Poison The Well, Hopesfall, Alexisonfire, et al. down pat."
"The tour also includes two shows with one of the bands that helped pioneer the kind of post-hardcore/metalcore that IPTW are reviving, Long Island metalcore/post-hardcore veterans Skycamefalling, and those happen in NJ at Maggie's on January 16 and in Brooklyn at Market Hotel on January 17. The Philly stop also finds this tour crossing paths with the newly-announced End It / Whispers tour, which makes for a killer four-band bill at the First Unitarian Church on January 15."
I Promised the World signed to Rise and released the single "Bliss In 7 Languages," adopting an early 2000s post-hardcore/metalcore sound and aesthetic. The band supported Deafheaven and Koyo on recent tours and announced a headlining run with support from Rosasharin. The headlining tour features two shows with Long Island veterans Skycamefalling in New Jersey (Maggie's) on January 16 and Brooklyn (Market Hotel) on January 17. The Philadelphia stop on January 15 crosses with the End It / Whispers tour to create a four-band bill at the First Unitarian Church. The End It / Whispers tour also plays Elsewhere in NYC on January 16, and the self-titled EP is set for release January 16 via Rise, with both tours occurring around FYA Fest.
