Real Estate launched their Atlas anniversary tour in Los Angeles and introduced James Richardson as a new full-time guitarist. Richardson is a multi-instrumentalist known for touring and studio work with MGMT and for contributions to records by Cameron Winter, Snail Mail, and Cola Boyy. The band posted an Instagram welcome and a representative confirmed Richardson's permanent membership. Julian Lynch had joined Real Estate in 2016 after founding guitarist Matt Mondanile left; Mondanile was fired following accusations of sexual misconduct by multiple women. The North American tour continues into October.
