Kurt Vile Announces New Album Philadelphia's been good to me and 2026 Tour Dates
""This is my 'bringing it all back home to Philly' record. I'm treating it like my last record. I put everything into it. It's my best vocal record. It's my best electric guitar record. It's my most organic record, made in the comfort of my own zone.""
""You got a chance to bleed now/ With that old time, lo-fi, DIY, rock 'n' roll nights... In real time, from the heart, playing live, band o' bros/ Down South, East Coast blues on a comeback/ And I've been coming back my whole damn life.""
Kurt Vile's upcoming album, 'Philadelphia's been good to me,' will be released on May 29th. The album is his 10th studio project and follows 2022's 'watch my moves.' It was recorded in various locations, primarily in his basement studio in Philadelphia. Vile describes this album as his best vocal and electric guitar record. He will support the album with a tour starting June 16th, covering North America and Europe. The lead single, 'Chance to Bleed,' features a unique sound he calls 'hillbilly techno.'
