A 16-year-old girl was shot in the head on the Lower East Side on Thursday afternoon, according to the NYPD. Incredibly, the teen is expected to survive and is being treated at a nearby hospital.

A 25-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man from Oakland were arrested in Stockton after a car chase and subsequent standoff, leading to multiple charges.
