"According to police sources, members of the FDNY discovered 25-year-old Chanler Reams lying face down on the floor of his unit at 2111 Southern Blvd. in West Farms at around 5:45 p.m. on Nov. 9 during a wellness check. He was unconscious and unresponsive after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head. Officers from the 48th Precinct responded to the scene along with EMS units, who pronounced Reams dead at the scene."
"The Bronx had been rocked by two other homicide cases over the weekend, both of which led to arrests. In one incident, a man was beaten to death with a metal object possibly a locker door, police sources said inside an apartment building on Phelan Place at about 8:50 p.m. on Nov. 8. Hours later, police responded to a double stabbing that left one man dead on East 162nd Street in Melrose just after 11:25 p.m. Saturday."
