Accused gunman Amuri Greene was allegedly targeting the baby's rapper father, Jamari Patterson, when he fired into a crowd in Williamsburg on April 1, killing little Kaori Patterson-Moore.

The whole family is distraught but while grieving for their eldest child they are living in fear for their lives at the moment. They haven't been able to leave the house since.

"I wanted to spend my entire life being her father," he wrote in a letter released to the media after a community vigil Saturday afternoon.

Authorities said the gunman was dead following the shooting, although how the suspect was killed was not immediately clear. The gunman's identity also has not yet been released.
