Suspect arrested in robbery, kidnapping of Peninsula resident

An East Bay man was arrested on suspicion of robbing and kidnapping an acquaintance at gunpoint in South San Francisco on July 14. The victim invited the suspect to his home, where the suspect produced a gun and demanded money. The suspect forced the victim to drive to a bank for additional funds, threatening harm if the victim did not comply. After the incident, the suspect continued to threaten the victim. The U.S. Marshals arrested the suspect in Oakland, finding him with a concealed firearm. Charges include robbery and grand theft.
