A small resale shop in La Puente was burglarized, with thieves stealing an estimated $30,000 worth of merchandise, including collectible Labubu dolls. Co-owner Joanna Avendano reported the shop had been open for only two months when the break-in occurred. Surveillance footage recorded the suspects breaking in after 2 a.m., focusing on high-value items. Avendano noted that the burglary may have been planned, as she had seen a suspicious truck outside the store prior to the incident. The local sheriff's department is investigating the burglary.
Surveillance footage from inside the store captured the moment the suspects smashed through the front door just after 2 a.m.
Joanna Avendano, co-owner of One Stop Sales, said her shop had only been open for two months when it was burglarized early Wednesday morning.
The suspects bypassed electronics, cash and other merchandise, targeting only the high-value Labubu dolls, the whimsical, wide-eyed collectible, monster plushies that have gone viral on TikTok.
Avendano said she believes the break-in was planned, noting she had seen a suspicious truck parked near the store before closing.
