The Non-Violence Project has spent more than thirty years demonstrating that creative expression can shape how young people see themselves, their communities, and their ability to make change. This workshop extends that work into a public, collaborative setting, inviting students to engage directly with a global symbol and contribute their own perspective.

Virginia Brown, a 69-year-old elder, recalls her traumatic experience: 'I was forced into a boarding school when I was six years old. They cut off all our long hair and washed our mouths out with soap if they caught us speaking Navajo.'

Last week I had the privilege of hosting about 100 high school and college students, lawmakers, educators, law enforcement and tech executives at ConnectSafely's Safer Internet Day event in Sacramento. There were a couple of panels and a "fireside chat," but it was mostly tableside conversations among stakeholders, including executives from Google, Meta, OpenAI, Snap, TikTok, Amazon, Roblox, Apple and Discord. The event, organized by ConnectSafely in partnership with Children Now and National PTA, focused on preserving technology's benefits while reducing its risks through thoughtful, research-informed discussion.

But Meta has confirmed that it is internally experimenting with a new, separate app called Instants, which would enable users to share quick snaps with their connections. As displayed in this listing, which was shared by app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, among Meta's display of other apps (accessed via Instagram), there's a mention of Instants, which is not released publicly as yet.

The physical nature of the project was inspiring and fun for everyone and also contained within it a kind of message. If we are going to change the direction of our climate we are going to have to do it for real too - in the real world, by doing real stuff.

There isn't a nook or cranny in the Almaden Valley that Ali Henry hasn't spent time in. She grew up here, camping, boating and fishing with her dad and her grandparents. Young people aren't just the leaders of tomorrow-they're leading right now. They're influencing culture, driving social movements, and embracing technology faster than most of us can keep up. They may not have a seat in the boardroom, but their influence is already being felt in every corner of society-including your bottom line. As a mother of three and a leader at UNICEF USA, I've seen firsthand how this generation is stepping up.

Evelyn del Rosario Moran Cojoc says, 'I have art classes in the villages where they don't have enough to eat. A young boy came up to me and approached me. I thought he was going to ask me for food but he asked me for a pencil. He had a hunger for knowledge.' She emphasizes the importance of nurturing creativity and pride in indigenous culture among youth through art.
