"We found a bug that impacted a very small number of game releases (less than 100 since 2015) where wishlist email notifications for the launch of a game were not sent," wrote a Valve spokesperson. "Unfortunately, your game Planet Centauri was among those included. We intend for this feature to work for every game and we're inviting you to a Daily Deal as a way to help make up for lost visibility from your launch day."
It's a simple job. Just pick up packages from one shop and drive them to another. The radio's a little busted, but otherwise your truck works fine. Just don't stay outside too long; it's cold out there, and you might not like what happens if you don't take shelter. Don't mind the shopkeepers, either. They might seem a little strange, but they mean well.
You were born in a sealed, planet-sized megastructure, and like everyone else, you expect your life to end here. Then one dreary day, your mech breaks down, and to make matters worse, you've smoked your last cigarette. Unlike a lot of first-person shooters, Metal Garden isn't about making you feel powerful, but a new update makes it more approachable than ever.
The Farmer Was Replaced requires you to program a drone to automate repetitive farming tasks as you attempt to become the world's most efficient farmer. To do that, you need to use a Python-like language, which makes the game look like a fun, beginner-friendly introduction to the programming language (see our pick of the best game development software if you want to realise your own dream game).
In any relationship, it's important to understand how you and your partner are different and work to find common ground. That's especially true when your girlfriend is a dark knight pledged to the god of evil who traveled here from another reality to fight a malevolent wizard and you're just a girl trying to get by. This oh so common conundrum is explored in taking my Dark Knight Girlfriend to the corner store, a short, sweet visual novel available for free on Steam and Itch.
Team Cherry, the indie studio behind the Hollow Knight series, has announced on X (formerly Twitter) that Hollow Knight: Silksong will cost $20. That's a $5 increase from 2017's original mega hit Hollow Knight game. Which, after almost a decade, isn't very surprising. We also have the exact release times for Hollow Knight: Silksong on September 4. The game will be available to purchase at 7AM PT/10AM ET. After being delayed past its original 2023 release date, it doesn't feel too far away now.
There's a pleasing rhythm to cozy life sims. The virtual days pass, filled with chores of tending crops or running a business, punctuated by strange mysteries or evolving relationships. At their best, these games merge busywork with exploration and storytelling, in a way that makes them hard to step away from. Discounty, from developer Crinkle Cut Games, applies this idea to running a small-town supermarket. And while in many ways it can still be considered "cozy" like its contemporaries,
Walking into a room you've never been in before can be one of the most nerve-racking experiences one can go through. Without prior knowledge of who's in there, what those people are like, and where the best place to sit is, it can be a serious anxiety trigger for the socially awkward among us. But what if there was someone who could mediate those anxieties on behalf of the people who have them?
"I hate words," she tells me. "I'm so bad at expressing myself through words, and I want to get a lot better at it because I'm making TikToks right now, and I've realised I'm not good at figuring out what to say on the fly consistently. So I think a lot about communicating things in pictures or storyboards."
After releasing A Short Hike and working on the subsequent updates and ports...I didn't really want to go back to this game? The development for the RPG had become difficult, which was why I took a break from it in the first place. I might return to this project someday, but I've been working on other things and don't see myself making time for this RPG in near future.
Nirvana Noir innovatively contrasts its predecessor's monochrome aesthetic with vibrant, psychedelic visuals, exploring a metaphysical metropolis shaped by the consequences of the Big Bang.
