DUBLIN A Daly City resident has been charged with two felonies after he allegedly showed up to a meeting with an undercover cop who had been posing as a 13-year-old girl online, court records show. Ricardo Alan Jimenez, 31, was charged with arranging a sexual meeting with a minor, and contacting a minor with intent to commit a sex crime, both felonies. He has been released from jail after posting $100,000 bail, court records show.
The suspect, Carlos Ray Thomas of Oakland, was charged Monday with two counts of assault with a semi-automatic firearm, two counts of shooting at an occupied vehicle and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. According to court records, his prior felony conviction was in 2004 in Alameda County for vandalism over $400 damage. He is being held without bail at Santa Rita Jail and is scheduled to enter a plea on Friday.
An Alabama man who claimed to be Michael the Angel of Death has been charged with multiple felonies after he threatened to "do the Lord's reaping" at a Catholic monastery in Orange County and then traveled to the church with a sizable cache of weapons, authorities said. On Wednesday, Joshua Michael Richardson, 38, was charged with felony criminal threats and possession of six high-capacity gun magazines, brass knuckles and a sword, according to the Orange County district attorney's office.
