The anticipation for the game since the draw was made has been everywhere. Luckily, we have tried to detach ourselves from that as much as possible whilst focusing on the league campaign, but now that it's here, I think that the game is going to be incredibly exciting for everyone.

Manchester United looked to be on the up before facing Everton, but a disappointing defeat put some of the pressure back on Ruben Amorim. The Red Devils were unbeaten in five matches before Monday, their longest such run under Amorim, but a Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall stunner sealed a 1-0 win for 10-man Everton at Old Trafford. And United's hopes of quickly turning things around and getting back to winning ways are not helped by a trip to Crystal Palace next up.

City were expected to right their wrongs from last season and compete for the title this time around, but after back-to-back losses, they are already six points adrift of leaders and reigning champions Liverpool. United, meanwhile, earned their first win of the season last time out, leaving it late to collect all three points against Burnley at Old Trafford. That win

Pep Guardiola's side sit top of the standings after week one, with a 4-0 win at Wolves propelling them above the other strong starters. Spurs are not far behind, though, after beginning life in the Premier League under Thomas Frank with a 3-0 victory over newly promoted Burnley on home soil. Tottenham have often proven a tough test for Guardiola during his managerial career, and they will be hoping they can pull off another surprise as they attempt to build some early momentum.
