Phil Stone, a resident of Sutton Wharf, described the maintenance issues, stating, "We've really had nothing but problems over the last ten years. The latest of which is we don't have any water at all; toilets don't flush, showers don't work."
"It's not even a property tax. We need to dispel that myth," said Sinn Féin's Daithí Doolan. "It is a charge on people's homes, and those living in Dublin are unfairly punished by an extremely high price of housing in the capital, and this is used as a benchmark to measure the local property tax."
Dilara expressed her frustrations, stating, "I'm just scared...it doesn't feel like a home to me anymore." This reveals the emotional toll that unresolved conflicts can have on residents.
"I can't wash in my own house. Even shower, because the leaks from the bathroom to the bedroom cause issues... I feel depressed that I have to knock on [my neighbour's] door and tell them I need to use the toilet."
