Elon Musk's xAI is recruiting investment bankers to train its chatbot, offering between $45 and $100 an hour for a remote "Investment Banking Expert" in mergers and acquisitions, debt capital markets, and equity capital markets, according to new job postings. Air Canada has successfully overturned a Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) decision requiring the airline to pay a passenger $2,079 for delayed baggage. After an 11-month court battle launched by Air Canada, Federal Court Justice Michael Manson ruled that a CTA officer's 2024 decision was unreasonable. The matter has been sent back to the CTA, Canada's transport regulator, for a new officer to reassess the compensation claim.

A police force has reportedly admitted it unlawfully arrested two parents in front of their nine-year-old daughter after they complained about her school on WhatsApp. Rosalind Levine and her partner, Maxie Allen, said they were held at a police station for 11 hours over the complaints about their daughter's primary school. The pair claimed they had been arrested and detained in January by six uniformed officers on suspicion of harassment, malicious communications and causing a nuisance on school property.

Sir Alan Bates has agreed a multimillion-pound settlement with the government more than two decades after he began the campaign for justice for post office operators over the Horizon IT scandal. An east London council paid out more than half a million pounds in compensation to residents last year amid a record number of complaints. In an annual report shared at a scrutiny meeting on Monday, Hackney Council revealed its total complaints over services had doubled since the Covid-19 pandemic particularly around housing. Since January 2021, the number of Stage 1 complaints to the housing service nearly trebled to more than 3,000 by January 2025.
