A mass shooting in Newark left two people killed, including an 10-year-old boy, and three others injured Saturday night, according to the Essex County Prosecutor's Office. The office said Newark Police were called to the scene at the 300 block of Chancellor Ave. around 7:00 p.m. Saturday. A 21-year-old woman was also killed in the shooting. The woman and the boy were pronounced dead at University Hospital.
On Wednesday, executives from a group called the Esmeralda Land Company will present their plans to officials in Cloverdale, a small city of roughly 9,000 residents in northern Sonoma County.
