Carlow Garda Superintendent Anthony Farrell is urging witnesses of the shooting to come forward to Gardaí immediately. 'As part of the investigation process, Carlow Gardaí wish to speak to anyone who was in the Fairgreen Shopping Centre or the vicinity of its carpark... in connection with the serious shooting incident,' said Supt Farrell.
A customer notice on the tourist attraction's website reads: "Due to circumstances outside of our control, Doagh Famine Village will be closed until further notice. If you have booked tickets to visit us please contact us for a full refund."
