Adriel Enriquez, a 12-year-old player for the Platinum IE soccer club, collapsed at the Inland Empire Soccer Complex in San Bernardino on February 26 after soccer practice. Emergency responders arrived and transported him to Community Hospital of San Bernardino, where he died en route. Adriel had no known medical conditions, making his death unexpected and shocking to his family. The coroner's office had not determined the cause of death as of March 5. His uncle established a GoFundMe campaign that raised over $71,000 to support funeral expenses and the family's financial stability. Adriel is survived by his parents and two brothers.
