TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals running back room was depleted even more Tuesday when Bam Knight was put on injured reserve with an ankle injury, ending his season with three games left. Knight suffered the injury in Sunday's 40-20 loss to the Houston Texans. Knight is the third Cardinals running back on injured reserve, joining James Conner and Trey Benson.
On Friday, Arizona Cardinals right tackle Jonah Williams was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season. Williams will undergo season-ending surgery for a shoulder injury that he suffered in Arizona's Week 10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday. "He is a starter, good player," Gannon said. "Just he wasn't going to be able to play the rest of the year."
Conner, a sixth-round pick from Texas, has yet to debut as a rookie after suffering a knee injury in the preseason. The Cardinals placed Conner on IR with a return designation when they trimmed their roster to 53 players on Aug. 26. The injury occurred late in the second quarter on a second-and-3 pass from quarterback Jacoby Brissett to Jones in the back of the end zone. The pass was incomplete, but Jones didn't go down at first. A few seconds after the pass, Jones raised his foot awkwardly and then looked behind him down at his left foot. He left the game and then was carted to the locker room.

Instead, they fumbled the ball away and completely collapsed, allowing 16 unanswered points to give the Titans their first win of the season. This team isn't going anywhere this year, and everybody should be at risk of losing their job. A loss like that is unacceptable at the NFL level.
