After the final standard gameday practice squad elevations of the 2025 regular season, the three-game elevation limit resets for the postseason, so only players getting signed to the 53-man roster because of the limit will be noted today. Also, a number of teams are moving players to injured reserve to make room for practice squad players. Doing so will make it easier to sign the taxi squad guys to reserve/futures deals at the end of the season.
We have made the decision to place Maxx Crosby on the Reserve/Injured list for the remainder of the 2025 season. After deliberate and thorough consultation with multiple top medical professionals, it became clear that this decision was in the best interest of both the franchise and the player. Maxx is the ultimate warrior, and he has fought extremely hard to compete each week with his teammates since injuring his knee mid-season. We are grateful for his extraordinary contributions. He is a true Raider on and off the field -- we look forward to his leadership and toughness into 2026 and beyond.
Tyler Guyton's second NFL season has come to an end. He has been placed on injured reserve, the Cowboys announced on Wednesday. Guyton last played in Week 12 and has been dealing with an ankle injury since. Having been eliminated from the playoffs, the Cowboys have only two games remaining in their season. IR stints at least four weeks, so today's move ensures Guyton will now turn his attention to 2026.
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice's 2025 season began with a suspension and now will end on injured reserve. Rice, who has a concussion, was placed on injured reserve along with wide receiver Tyquan Thornton (concussion) and cornerbacks Trent McDuffie (knee) and Jaylen Watson (groin) on Wednesday. Rice, who missed Kansas City's loss to the Tennessee Titans last week due to his concussion, finishes his third NFL season with 53 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns in eight games.
Bowers was named to his second straight Pro Bowl on Tuesday despite battling a knee injury for six weeks. He played three games through a posterior cruciate ligament injury and a bone bruise in his left knee that he suffered in the Raiders' season-opening win over the New England Patriots, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. He was then sidelined for three games to allow for recovery.
Agnew joined as a legitimately interesting returner, a one-time All-Pro and one-time Pro Bowler who averaged 10.3 yards per punt return and 26.1 yards per kick return as recently as 2023. We knew health would be an issue for him, but as an occasionally useful gadget player on offense with a track record of quality work on special teams-he has six combined career touchdowns on returns!-Agnew seemed likely to help with the team's return woes.
Joseph signed a four-year, $86 million extension in April after a First-Team All-Pro season in 2024, where he led the NFL with nine interceptions. He also became the NFL's first safety to record at least four interceptions in each of the first three seasons of a player's career since Hall of Famer Ed Reed (2002-04). Despite limited action, Joseph managed to snag three interceptions this season with 18 tackles and four passes defended.
“This was a collaborative decision based upon where we're at in the season,” O'Connell said, “from the standpoint of Christian's workload and what these next few games and days are going to look like for our team. ... We thought this was the best decision for Christian in the short term, but at the same time, I think a lot of this can be a projection on a really positive outlook for 2026.”
TEMPE, Ariz. -- The Arizona Cardinals running back room was depleted even more Tuesday when Bam Knight was put on injured reserve with an ankle injury, ending his season with three games left. Knight suffered the injury in Sunday's 40-20 loss to the Houston Texans. Knight is the third Cardinals running back on injured reserve, joining James Conner and Trey Benson.
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions have placed second-year cornerback Terrion Arnold on the injured reserve list with a shoulder injury, which will sideline him for at least four games. Arnold, 22, has started in seven of his eight appearances this season, logging 31 total tackles, eight passes defended and an interception. He missed Monday's practice after being injured in the Thanksgiving Day loss to the Green Bay Packers.
MIAMI GARDENS - Miami Dolphins tight end Darren Waller will return to practice this week as he works his way back from injured reserve. Waller will be designated for return at Wednesday's practice, coach Mike McDaniel said Monday. That will open up a 21-day practice window for him to get activated from IR ahead of one of the team's upcoming games, beginning with the New Orleans Saints at home on Sunday.
A fifth-round pick out of Colorado State, Horton has caught 13 passes for 161 yards and five touchdowns. He also scored on a 95-yard punt return, the longest in team history. Horton fell to the fifth round after his final college season was cut short by a serious leg injury. He also missed time over the summer with a sprained ankle, but he still beat out veteran Marquez Valdes-Scantling to be Seattle's third receiver.
On Friday, Arizona Cardinals right tackle Jonah Williams was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season. Williams will undergo season-ending surgery for a shoulder injury that he suffered in Arizona's Week 10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, coach Jonathan Gannon said Friday. "He is a starter, good player," Gannon said. "Just he wasn't going to be able to play the rest of the year."
MIAMI GARDENS - The Miami Dolphins signed cornerback A.J. Green from the Los Angeles Rams practice squad on Wednesday and placed cornerback JuJu Brents (foot) on the injured reserve list. Green, 27, has made two starts in 36 career games. The 6-foot-2, 199-pound Green has totaled 26 tackles, two interceptions, seven passes defended and two recovered fumbles. He has 14 special teams tackles.
Dolphins cornerback JuJu Brents, whose strong play has been a recent eye-opener, is likely out for the season due to a foot injury sustained in Sunday's 16-13 overtime victory over Washington in Madrid, Spain, coach Mike McDaniel said Monday. Brents, the 2023 second-round pick by Indianapolis, was awarded to the Dolphins off waivers on Aug. 27. He has 14 tackles, one pass defended and one fumble recovery this season while making two starts, the last two games, and appearing in seven games.
