""I think Will cares deeply about this team and the players on it," Vrabel said. "That was his decision. I mean, I usually would rather these guys stay, get some rest, recover and treatment, and once he started feeling good enough to travel he asked to go.""
""And so, I think it can only help him to be around his teammates, be into the game, and help them, just like Mack [ Hollins] did [Sunday].""
""Drake has had a phenomenal year and Will has done a fantastic job. Sitting behind there, watching what the O-line has done this season, I wanted to make sure that when I got in, there wasn't a drop-off.""
Will Campbell has been on injured reserve since sustaining an MCL sprain in the Nov. 23 win over the Bengals and is expected to return to practice this week. Players coming off injured reserve must be activated within 21 days of their return to practice or revert to injured reserve for the remainder of the season. Coach Mike Vrabel said Campbell has traveled with the team while rehabbing, choosing to be around teammates. Vederian Lowe has handled left tackle duties for nearly every snap during Campbell's absence, allowing one sack over that stretch. Campbell's availability for the regular-season finale against the Dolphins remains uncertain as the Patriots prepare for the playoffs.
