Toronto is under a yellow snowfall warning with 10 centimetres of snow expected to affect the morning and evening commute on Wednesday. An Alberta clipper, a low pressure system, is forecast to bring the snow starting Wednesday morning and easing in the afternoon, Environment Canada said in the warning issued late Tuesday afternoon. Visibility could be poor at times if the snow is heavy or blowing, the agency says.

The French weather forecaster Météo France has issued a weather warning for snow on Monday, with snowfalls predicted for Paris and much of western France. A total of 23 départements have been placed on orange alert for snow and ice including the Paris region, Brittany and Normandy and part of the west coast. Météo France is predicting up to 10cm of snow in the coastal areas of Brittany and Normandy, while the greater Paris region could get up to 5cm.

A Status Yellow warning for low temperatures was issued by Met Éireann for 10 counties, coming into effect at 11pm on Thursday night and remaining in place until 8am today. The warning is in place for counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wicklow, and Tipperary. There would be widespread frost and some icy stretches, Met Éireann said, with minimum air temperatures of -3C. Temperatures may be even lower in some local areas.

The warning, issued last night, applies to counties Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork and Waterford. It will be valid until noon today, and threatens to bring localised flooding, difficult travel conditions and poor visibility. Today will be mild with temperatures between 13C and 16C with cloudy skies and widespread outbreaks of rain, particularly across the south and east. Tonight will have scattered rain before becoming heavier overnight with lowest temperatures of 10C to 13C.

The warning, which comes into effect at 6pm tomorrow and expires at 3am on Wednesday morning, will affect counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Galway. As part of its warning, the national forecaster is telling people to be aware of the impact of "blustery rain" which includes treacherous travel conditions, poor visibility and localised flooding. For visitors to Tullamore for the National Ploughing Championships, tomorrow morning should start off dry and bright and there will be just isolated showers.

Strong and gusty westerly winds are expected in counties Kerry, Clare and Galway until the early hours of Monday morning. The Status Yellow wind warning will come into effect at 9pm on Sunday night and remain in effect until 6am on Monday morning. Met Éireann warned of difficult travelling conditions and the displacement of debris and loose objects due to the blustery conditions.
