Weather warning for up to 10cm of snow in Paris and western France

"The French weather forecaster Météo France has issued a weather warning for snow on Monday, with snowfalls predicted for Paris and much of western France. A total of 23 départements have been placed on orange alert for snow and ice including the Paris region, Brittany and Normandy and part of the west coast. Météo France is predicting up to 10cm of snow in the coastal areas of Brittany and Normandy, while the greater Paris region could get up to 5cm."

"The west coast départements of Charente-Maritime and Vendée are also predicted to get between 5cm and 10am of snow. The big freeze continues with temperatures falling to -5C in the Paris region. Météo France predicts that the snow will arrive in Paris on Monday afternoon with a combination of snow and freezing overnight temperatures likely to make driving conditions difficult on Tuesday morning. The orange weather warning continues into Tuesday."

Météo France has issued an orange alert for snow and ice across 23 départements from Monday into Tuesday, including the Paris region, Brittany, Normandy and parts of the west coast. Coastal areas of Brittany and Normandy could receive up to 10cm of snow, while the greater Paris region could see around 5cm. Charente-Maritime and Vendée on the west coast are expected to get between 5cm and 10cm. Temperatures will fall to around -5C in the Paris region. Snow is forecast to arrive in Paris on Monday afternoon, with freezing overnight temperatures and falling snow likely to create difficult driving conditions on Tuesday morning.
