Status Yellow rain and thunderstorm warnings in place for several counties

A Status Yellow rain warning for Cork and Kerry was lifted while another warning will begin for Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wicklow, and Monaghan. Heavy rain with thunderstorms may cause localized flooding and travel difficulties. The UK Met Office has also issued warnings for Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry. Temperatures are expected to reach 17 to 22 degrees. The beginning of the week will see further showers with the potential for spot flooding, but conditions may improve midweek with sunnier spells.
A Status Yellow rain warning was lifted for Cork and Kerry but another will start for Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Meath, Wicklow, and Monaghan, effective until noon on Monday.
A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning has been issued for Clare, valid from 4.30pm until 6pm, with potential for spot flooding and difficult traveling.
The new week will begin with showers, especially over Leinster and east Ulster, with spot flooding expected, but conditions may brighten in parts of the west and south.
Met Éireann expects generally mixed conditions with showers or long spells of heavy rain and spot flooding, but fewer showers and sunnier weather are anticipated by midweek.
