Western areas face a chance of heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms today with highs of 13 to 16 degrees, then more widespread sunny spells developing by evening. Overnight lows of 7 to 11 degrees are forecast. Rain will spread east on Monday with further heavy showers, gusty winds and blustery nights. The week will remain unsettled with strong winds at times, spells of heavy rain and frequent showers, with daytime temperatures generally in the mid-teens.
