[Ja'Corey] Brooks is a long way from earning a spot on the 53-man roster, but he certainly helped his cause during the first two days of camp. Brooks isn't getting too excited about his start to camp, which is smart, because there are several more tests for him to take on. He'll have to maintain his production in the preseason as well as joint practices with the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens. Still, he should have his coaches' attention after what he did earlier in the week.
Just making this program - and when I say program, like the meetings, the walkthroughs, the lifts, the practice schedule - making it tough on you, and giving you a lot to handle. Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson will miss some time during training camp due to a very mild left hamstring strain. Coach Kevin O'Connell stated that this injury is not serious, and he is confident Jefferson will be ready for the regular season. Jefferson took himself out of practice after feeling tightness in both legs. The team conducted an MRI, confirming the mild strain. O'Connell reassured fans that Jefferson’s prior injuries influenced his decision to prioritize recovery during early training camp.
Shedeur Sanders emphasized that he is grateful for the opportunity at this level, stating, "I feel like that it's not in my control, so I'm not going to think about that or even have that in my thought process of why it is." He believes that everyone wants this chance and expresses confidence in his identity and abilities, saying, "I know who I am as a person. I know what I could bring to this team. So, I can never feel less than any circumstance."
"It's just about trying to get him better, to be a healthier player and getting him on the field a little more," Bowles said Wednesday. "That's kind of where I'm at right now. He's working at it and we're working with him and that's all you can ask right now."
Kelce entered training camp in better condition than last season, showcasing improved speed and nimbleness, according to Coach Andy Reid who praised his hard work and fitness.
