""January camp is a vitally important part of our yearly schedule, especially with 2026 being a year that will host World Cup qualifying," USWNT coach Emma Hayes said in a statement."
""We don't get many training days together during any given year, so there is a high value in getting a whole week of training as well as two matches.""
""I was pleased with the progress we made as a team in 2025, but we still have a ways to go to get to where we want to be heading into the CONCACAF W Championship in the fall.""
The U.S. women's national team will conduct a 10-day January training camp in Carson from Jan. 17-27, 2026. The camp will conclude with two international matches, the first being Jan. 24 against Paraguay at Dignity Health Sports Park with a tribute to retiring two-time World Cup champion Christen Press. The venue and opponent for the Jan. 27 match have not been finalized. Christen Press scored 64 goals for the U.S. and played her final four club seasons with Angel City FC. Dignity Health Sports Park has hosted 21 U.S. matches, and the stadium will distribute a commemorative Press bobblehead to the first 2,000 fans on Jan. 24. Coach Emma Hayes emphasized the camp's importance ahead of 2026 World Cup qualifying and the CONCACAF W Championship.
