AC Milan director Igli Tare wanted to sign Mateo Retegui in the summer, but could not rival the bid that came in from the Middle East. Milan were linked with a long list of strikers during the most recent summer window. Some never seemed close to joining like Dusan Vlahovic and Moise Kean, while others came a lot closer like Victor Boniface and Conrad Harder. In the end, no natural centre-forward arrived.
The Curva Sud will be back at San Siro for Milan-Fiorentina tonight, and they have made a request to fans in the stadium. Milan have had a huge home advantage in recent seasons, but 2025-26 started strangely. Due to the Curva Sud's protests, it was very quiet during the early home matches in which the away fans were often the only ones that could be heard.
Despite being out of the squad for some time, Origi remains one of Milan 's highest-paid players. He signed in 2022 from Liverpool, but the Belgian striker has essentially played just one season with the Rossoneri, failing to shine and scoring just two goals. Milan have tried for some time to get out of the huge contract that they signed him to but have so far failed. Now, however, Origi is in the final year of that deal and the margins for early termination have increased.
Livio Marinelli has been named as the head referee for AC Milan's clash against Fiorentina tomorrow. Looking at his record with the Rossoneri, the fans can breathe a sigh of relief. After the draw against Juventus, Milan will be looking to bounce back with a win against Fiorentina at San Siro. With multiple stars missing, however, it won't be the easiest of tasks for Massimiliano Allegri's men, even if La Viola have started poorly.
AC Milan are expecting to make at least one signing during the January transfer window and according to a report, they have a clear priority. After six league games, it has become clear that Milan could fight for more than just a top-four spot this season. Massimiliano Allegri has been able to change things rather quickly, with the Rossoneri looking a lot more like a team, and the results speak for themselves.
Ossola has been one of the stand-out players for the Primavera this season. The 18-year-old has five goal contributions (two goals, three assists) across six games, and he even has 19 minutes for the Futuro too. At the age of 18 and with the versatility of being able to play one the wing or down the middle, the future appears to be bright for the Italy U19 international, and now further good news has arrived.
A new theory has emerged from Poland on where Lewandowski could end up, with one journalist claiming he could follow in Luis Suarez's footsteps and swap Barca for Atletico. Reporter Mateusz Święcicki has said: "Milan are a probability, but I have a theory and that is that Lewandowski is going to play a season at Atletico Madrid. He can have success with Sorloth and Atletico have already signed David Villa or Luis Suárez before."
In a somewhat surprising and fast developing story Christopher Nkunku has joined Milan from Chelsea. The forward who has a history of scoring ability, having been Bundesliga top scorer with RB Leipzig back in 2021-2022, had been a PSG prospect and player before moving to Germany. Chelsea paid the German team 60 million for the Frenchman two years ago. He joins the team in the final days of the window with the team very much in need of his direct central strengths.
A Leao less Milan beat Lecce 2-0 away in week two for the first three points of the season. The game featured what could be called an unusual line up with Saelemaekers as a kind of a forward. His hard work only cemented the Belgian's utility man tag. The game was an improvement over the week 1 loss versus Cremonese but Milan seem a long way off from a so called integrated team.
Milan travel to Lecce amidst the chaos of the final days of the summer transfer window and following the week 1 home loss to Cremonese. The season opener exposed mostly obvious weaknesses at the back where a back three had been tried at least partially due to the lack of bodies available to Allegri. The front two and the attack in general were poor and Leao's early exit injury hampered the team with very limited options.
The first clues have arrived as to what the future new stadium for AC Milan and Inter will be like when finally built. In case you missed the big news, the Milan City Council voted to approve the sale of the current San Siro and surrounding area to the two clubs. They then plan to build a new home next to the existing structure, which will be partly demolished as part of an area regeneration plan.
