A shooting incident in Austin left 14 people hospitalized with three in critical condition; authorities are investigating it as a potential terrorism matter.
Officers were called at 11:38 a.m. to the 500 block of El Paseo de Saratoga for a shooting report, and found a man and woman lying on the ground in the lot suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the San Jose Police Department. They were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Shots rang out around 10 p.m. outside an apartment building on MacDonough Street near Howard Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said. The victim was shot once in the right arm, police said. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Around 9:30 p.m. on May 9, police responded to a gas station attendant's report of a loud bang at a Shell gas station at 1400 West Hillsdale Boulevard, authorities said. When officers arrived, they located a 9mm shell casing. In their subsequent investigation, police found that the suspects had shot at an occupied vehicle, authorities said. No one was injured due to the shooting.
