Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered makes a number of visual overhauls to the sci-fi epic that border on artistic reinterpretations. It also comes with more NPCs and other improvements that make the open world feel more detailed and lived-in.
Timber Rush is about numbers going up in the crudest way imaginable, a clicker game that barely even features clicking, in which you move your woodcutter side to side as increasing numbers of increasingly silly logs fly around the screen.
Over an hour of footage, including the apparent ending of the game, has leaked due to a security flaw with the Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS). Fans eager to experience the game without spoilers should be wary of major story revelations from the game now circulating online, six weeks ahead of First Light's May 27 launch.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is developed by Kojima Productions, led by Hideo Kojima. The game takes place roughly 11 months after the events of the first title, continuing the journey of Sam Porter Bridges. In the sequel, Sam teams up with Fragile as part of a new organisation called Drawbridge, which aims to reconnect isolated survivors, but instead of the United Cities of America (UCA), this time across the Australian continent.
"If scavenging supplies in the middle of a zombie outbreak sounds fun to you, then grab your ruck, pack some mags, and register for a chance to be included in the alpha," State of Decay co-creator Brant Fitzgerald said, while adding that there will be more opportunities throughout the year to test out the game.
The woods in Reanimal are full of surprises. You will encounter human cadavers that slither like snakes, gigantic talking pigs, and, at one point, a forlorn, supersized whale who seems resigned to an agonizingly slow death. These variously monstrous beings inhabit a realm that, though it looks like our own, seems to defy spatial logic: the forest leads to an oceanic expanse, which segues into a decrepit, towering city. It's like Aesop's Fables meets the nightmare visions of both Lars von Trier and J.G. Ballard.
The story focuses on the crew of a spaceship that has crash landed onto another world. The survivors have to contend with an alien lifeform that's hunting them and can mimic its prey (no prizes for guessing that Supermassive took inspiration from The Thing here). If these astronauts want to stay alive, though, they'll put the lives of everyone on a dying Earth at risk.
Here, you'll be able to team up with a couple of friends to hunt killer machines, Monster Hunter style. Guerrilla says it's designing the hunts to be challenging and replayable. "Combat is tactical, reactive, and deeply skill-based, building on the tactical precision of the Horizon games while embracing the dynamics of team play," game director Arjan Bak wrote on the PlayStation Blog. The game also has a more stylized look compared with the more grounded visuals of the mainline games.
In Horizon Hunters Gathering, players go out solo or with up to two other players on "challenging and replayable hunts." Each person picks a Hunter from a selection of playable characters with different melee and ranged weapons and abilities. There is also a "rogue-lite perk system" to further build out your character during each hunt. Between these hunts, players will return to a large "vibrant" social hub where players can meet up, prep for the next mission, and hang out.
