Wandsworth Council has approved the fashion brand's plans to modernise and extend two buildings, in Battersea, to support its international growth. The redevelopment means Vivienne Westwood's headquarters will stay in Battersea, which the brand has called home since 1995. The new building will bring together all of the company's departments under one roof as part of a restructuring of the fashion house, while providing more space for the brand's expected growth over the next 15 years.

This unassuming little park in Battersea was once the scene of fierce legal battles - and even a riot - all sparked by a dog. It sits on what was once a much larger area of common land, which by the 1830s had been enclosed by housing around it and was being used as public allotments. However, the area's growing population meant that it couldn't last, and after about 30 years of debate, finally, in the early 1900s, the Latchmere Estate was constructed.

My son Rico was truly an amazing human. He literally had the best sense of humour, quick wit and just made everything funnier. Rico was the most laid-back dude who never took anything seriously. People loved being around Rico. He was definitely someone you left feeling happier than before you met. Rico should still be here. The Ivy Northcote Road is set to open in September, becoming the 44th addition to The Ivy Collection, located in the historic Old Bank on Northcote Road.
