Two firefighters sustained minor injuries while responding to a large warehouse fire that broke out in the Red Hook area of Brooklyn on Wednesday night, September 17, according to the New York City Fire Department (FDNY). The FDNY said that over 250 firefighters and emergency services personnel responded to a 5-alarm fire at a four-story commercial warehouse on Van Brunt Street. Upon arrival, crews found fire throughout the second, third, fourth floors, and rising up through the roof, said Chief of Operations Kevin Woods.
