The Eagles' mega-selling compilation Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 has become the first album to ever be certified quadruple diamond for sales of 40 million copies in the United States. The best-of collection remains the biggest-selling album in the States, and interestingly was the first album to be certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. The RIAA also newly certified the Eagles' 1976 album Hotel California as 28-times platinum.

Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season began with a Thursday night contest between the Rams and Seahawks that had major playoff implications. Seattle converted two separate 2-point conversions in an OT win, ascending to the NFC's No. 1 seed before the final two weeks of the season.
