Transphobic billionaire author J.K. Rowling has encouraged random people in the United Kingdom to photograph people in women's restrooms just in case they are transgender. Her advice is likely to result in the public harassment of cisgender women who don't fit people's preconceived notions of how a cis woman "should" look - such harassment has occurred many times in the past.
The doll, which was created with input from the autistic community, comes with several accessories that "represent common ways autistic people may experience, process, and communicate about the world around them," Mattel's press release states. These accessories include a pink finger-clip fidget spinner to reduce stress and improve focus, noise-cancelling headphones to reduce sensory overload, and an electronic tablet with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) apps to help non-verbal autistic people interact with others.
A YouGov poll published earlier this week suggests that US adults believe transphobia among the GOP is at least somewhat of a problem. 64 per cent of the 1,107 adults surveyed said that they believe transphobia is a problem among Republicans, with 44 per cent saying it is a major problem. Transphobia was the second-highest issue that respondents believed Republicans had taken too far, just behind hostility towards immigrants at 68 per cent.

She allegedly told the woman, "You shouldn't be here," an anonymous Republican representative told The Daily Beast. Boebert then alerted arch-transphobe Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) about "a guy" in the women's restroom, The Beast wrote.
