MAGA man mocks "queers" after his new restaurant shuts down in just six weeks - LGBTQ Nation
"We closed. Yeah, we can't survive in an area where people can't figure out if they are male, female, dogs or cats.... Your confusion is our gain. He she they them is some weird behavior we are happy to avoid."
"You got a d**k you're male, you got a m**f you're a female.... What you think you are should be respected, but you cannot force that upon others. You must equally have respect for what other people believe to be truth."
"Dont confuse gay with queer. Please. Queers are confused and angry gays are happy and normal."
Mark Da Costa, an Australian Idol performer and MAGA supporter, opened Bueno Eatery in Sydney's Newtown neighborhood on March 19 but closed it after six weeks. Social media users immediately called for boycotts, referencing his previous failed vegan café that he branded a "Trump safe zone" and blamed on the "left-wing fake vegan community." Da Costa announced the closure through a now-deleted Instagram post containing transphobic and homophobic content, mocking gender identity and sexual orientation. He criticized people for being "confused" about gender, made derogatory comments about pronouns, and distinguished between gay and queer people in disparaging terms. All restaurant social media accounts were subsequently deleted.
