Tre' Johnson, the former standout Washington offensive lineman who went on to become a Maryland high school history teacher, died Sunday. He was 54. In a Facebook post, Johnson's wife, Irene, said he died during a short family trip. "It is with a heavy heart that I inform you that my husband, Tre' Johnson, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly ... during a brief family trip," she wrote. "His four children, Chloe, EJ, EZ and Eden, extended family, friends, and I are devastated and in shock."

Emergency services were alerted to an incident yesterday shortly before 6pm at a property in An Sáile Chuanna on the outskirts of the village on the Inverin road. The woman is from the area and believed to aged in her 70s. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The scene has been sealed off by Garda forensic investigators. A postmortem will be carried out to determine the course of the investigation.

Keith Browner Jr. told TMZ that he talked to his father Monday night when the elder Browning was having stomach problems, vomiting and feeling tired. Browner Jr. said his father told him he would go to the hospital the next morning. Browner was getting ready to go to the hospital Tuesday morning, according to TMZ, "when he curled over the side of a chair and collapsed to the floor next to his girlfriend."

"The doctor who called me from Colombia just called me and told me my wife had just passed away," Michael told the outlet.

I first met Diarmuid Ó Tuairisg about 15 years ago when he was working behind the bar in Crowes in Bohermore. He was always someone who was kind, courteous and most definitely a people's person. Over the last few years, Diarmuid was a Garda based in Millstreet in Galway and we would meet each other at many events. He was always friendly and approachable and carried out his duties as a Garda to the highest possible standard.
