WILLIAMSBURG - WHOLE FOODS MARKET announced on Tuesday that it plans to open one of its smaller-format stores, called Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, in Williamsburg on Wednesday, Feb. 25. According to the company, the 7,888 square-foot market, at 774 Grand St. and Humboldt Street, will feature fresh, seasonal produce; meat and seafood; artisanal cheeses; prepared food options, including hot rotisserie chicken, entree salads, sandwiches and breads; supplements; and specialties from New York-based suppliers, such as lamb merguez sausage from Brooklyn Cured.
The new Ventura restaurant will offer hot chicken enthusiasts a taste of what has made the brand so popular nationwide. The restaurant has also invested in the community, hosting school fundraisers and outreach programs around its new location. "Ventura is such a vibrant community, and we couldn't be more excited to bring Angry Chickz here," said David Mkhitaryan, CEO and founder of Angry Chickz, in a press release.
