"A new Sprouts supermarket is headed to San Leandro in November. Located at 1188 E. 14th St., the store is expected to open on Nov. 14, according to a press release. Sprouts Farmers Market is known for providing a "farmers market experience" in stores by using an "open layout" where the produce is at the center of the floor plan. The company also has many of its products bunched together by diet."
"For its Pittsburg opening celebration in June, giveaways included reusable goodie bags for the first 200 shoppers on the first two days. Additionally, the first 400 guests that arrived on opening day received long-stemmed roses. At its Hayward grand opening in Sept. 2024, the company had a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a "guess the weight" contest for oversized produce."
Sprouts Farmers Market will open a new store in San Leandro on Nov. 14 at 1188 E. 14th St. The chain centers produce in an open layout and groups products by dietary preferences, including plant-based, gluten-free and keto options. Sprouts operates over 150 California stores and recently opened locations in Pittsburg, Hayward and two in San Jose. The San Leandro store is expected to create about 95 full-time and part-time positions in roles such as department managers, clerks and sales ambassadors. An in-person hiring fair will be held Sept. 30. Sprouts was named 2024 retailer of the year by Progressive Grocer.
