"At last year's event, we gave out more than $30,000 in scholarships to law students, as well as some high school and college students," Hinds-Radix said.

Bonding is so very important in this organization. Every gathering we have is a way to bring the attorneys together that mainly practice in Bay Ridge.

It's also the beginning of our membership year, so we also figured it might be a good way to get our membership numbers up a bit, said DiLorenzo.

"We're no longer afraid of, 'What if I'm not prepared' or if I missed a case I should have known... We're literally afraid of terrible consequences just for doing our jobs."
